Nothing In Between Poem by Alfred Ramos

Nothing In Between

Rating: 5.0

Is it yes or is it no
You’ve got to let me know
I don’t want anything in between

You can accept me
You can reject me
I don’t want to be a king without a queen

You can be weak or strong
You can be right or wrong
But nothing in between

Don’t want acts
Just the facts
So we don’t make a scene

Loose end may become unraveled
If we seek the road less traveled
Avoid any direction yet unseen

Like fruit not picked becomes rotten
The world of maybes can easily be forgotten
Because a relationship can turn obscene

Don’t need to pray or confess
I want it to be more not less
Don’t want that mess in between

Don’t need drama or suspense
Or who’s on offense or defense
I want the slate to be clean

The guessing game never works
And pretending is for jerks
If you know what I mean

So don’t bring your best disguise
Just look into my heart, it never lies
It knows nothing is routine

So tell me now, not later
The truth is a great motivator
With no hidden agenda in between

'Like fruit not picked becomes rotten The world of maybes can easily be forgotten'... Well said Alfred...a truth that would taste sour to many, very sweetly spoken out in these lines...10
