Nothing More Could We Do Poem by courtney tak

Nothing More Could We Do

It was all a dreadful sight
Lying awake at night
Moaning in agony and pain
Its driving me insane

She cried and cried
I have not lied
She seemed to fade
Into the shade

It was all a dreadful sight
To live she tried with all her might
She struggled and fought
against the pain unsought

There was nothing more we could do
From 3: 00 to 2
On Friday I saw it start to come
I knew she was going to succumb^

On Saturday we got the news
Died the mom of Sue’s
The tired, weary eyes close
Of the woman who had no foes.
