I am not evil, I am not good
I am not a rebel
but neither do I conform
I do not go out to please
nor to discomfort

Maybe I am just here-
I do not stand out
I have no wonder-colour eyes
or shimmer-shine hair...
just part of the crowd

Medium is the word for me
Not above average nor below
I do not lead nor do I follow

At first glance no one looks twice
in a crowd no one stops to stare
If my place is emptied

will it go by unnoticed?

Am I born to live to die
to be forgotten?
Will I go down in history as
'who is she? '

Or will my name be past on
by generations?
Then again maybe not,
for I am
just part of the crowd
