Nothingness Poem by Carolyn Brunelle

Nothingness

A grey pallor hangs over the room.
Sorrow seeps through the cracks
leaves a heavy cloth over the heart;
this empty hole in my soul
sucks what joy there was away.
Nothing turns to nothingness.
Nothing helps
nothing remains;
nothing will be the same again.
Can nothing be done about this?
A sweet goodbye
and one last kiss
can’t be all there is.
