November: A Month Of Shocks And Sharks Poem by Hebert Logerie

November: A Month Of Shocks And Sharks

November has been a month of shocks and sharks
Too many surprises, too much sadness, too many sparks
We all feel the dreadful bites of the election. No need
To go into further extenuating details. No reason to plead
The loss of this election hurts every fiber in our body
A lot of people are not too happy these days. Wow!
We are speechless, almost paralyzed by this parody
We are confused, and bewildered. We don't know how
We are going to make it. November is full of shocks
Protesters are in the streets, expressing their fears
Demonstrating against this choice. The overflow of tears
Is abundant. We are not sure if evils can throw rocks
To break the ceiling of Heaven. We are really confused
Everybody is shocked, and disturbed. Nobody is amused
Another powerful aftershocks, Gwen Ifill, a stellar journalist
Died today in November. May this brilliant sister rest in peace
One shock after the other. What is really going on here today?
We have to be serious, must move on, and can no longer play.
