November:The Commodities Line - Poem by Juli

November on the commodities line
Men, women, and children of the 80's, not the 30's
Broken men
Once head-strong and youthful
With not so many facial lines
Distant women
Once head-turners themselves
Look away without a word
Cowering children
They've not yet had a chance
And are off to a bad start
People without socks
Wearing their sister's coats
