Now I am old and grey,
Yet I'm far from sleep.
Nodding to the divine master,
I pen down his secret whispers,
And slowly read what he reveals
In dreams of the awakened spirit.
Once, my eyes were in shadows deep,
Unable to perceive divine grace,
I loved false beauty, overlooking truth,
Yet my inner eyes saw the divine within me.
Then my outer eyes received true light,
Beholding the changing face of the divine.
In awe, I Kneeled down before the glowing light,
Of the divine, murmuring softly in wonder,
How is it the overhead lights shine upon me!
I lifted my eyes to gaze from the mountain's peak,
Seeing the same light in the stars and the moon.
