Now I'm Numb Poem by Ivo Rolo

Now I'm Numb

Rating: 1.0

I used to have florid cheeks
And an ingenuity blessed smile.
I used to play insatiably on the streets
Avoiding the night and run
Through the sunset's astringent aisle,
Until there was no more light.

But one unfortunate weekend,
I dipped my face in a lethargic river
And it's inert particles stuck to me.
My smilling days came to an end.
Now all I do is cry and shiver.
Now I've lost the child I used to be.

Now I'm otiosely wandering
Around this obscure, sedentary sphere.
I guess we go together now.

Now you can't truly find me.
Now I'm lost in the air.
Now I'm consumed with sorrow.
