Shaking the bond of affection very strongly
Shaking the bond of blood very strongly, my dear son
Now you are returning high above the clouds
Much much above the ocean
Now you are returning
You are on your way back to Sydney.

But what a surprise! you are still here
With the affection of your parents
In your old room your much known room!
Still in the sofa we feel your warmth
Still in the air of the lounge we hear your delighted laughter.

How greatly delightful was your company last few days!
How greatly delightful was
Your return to the home of affection of your parents!

Your plane is heading towards Sydney,
And Lo! We are still sitting face to face here delighted.
All the affection of the world in our eyes
All the love of the world in your eyes.

You are returning to your home.
Still you are here at your home of affection.
