Numb Poem by Isabelle Cote

Numb

tears, hot on flesh
screaming water
yells at her skin
burning
her insides are cold
drowning in fear and in sorrow
in solitude
her heart, pumping blood
through veins
that feed liquid fire
through every nerve
burning
the core of the damned
freezing
the soul of her being
