Once upon a broken star
a girl came upon a wish
a wish so strong it overpowers her body
the pain, cutting her and leaving scars

That broken star
of power and of feeling
Light illuminating her sullen face
wishing upon, to find grace

Everybody has this star
may not be the first to come out
yet it grabs your attention, something about it
its luminosity overbearing the rest

A lucky true dream was sent
upon this lonely star
To fulfill its life goal
bringing peace

To finally find meaning
and to bring a happy tear or two
Wishes can come true
And luckily for me
Because what I wished for, was you
