Numbers - Poem by John W. McEwers

They don't mean much
unless they say something about you
like a birthday
or an age
or how many parking tickets
the police station says
you've left unpaid
even though the parking enforcement guy
ticketed your car
six times after the sign
said they stopped ticketting
at six pm.
