Nunya read my poesy!
A tragedy, I say
My heart doth break
I bellyache
And write more poems today.

Why nunya read my poesy?
A drop amidst the flood
Though every word
If not absurd
Is written with heartsblood.

So nunya read my poesy!
Then leave it on the shelf
As I, contrite,
Admit I write
To entertain myself.

Oh wudya read my poesy?
This doggerel-do assures
If you'll read mine
And not compline
I'll read a bit of yours!
