O Allah, I Make A Humble Supplication Poem by Mohammad Younus

O Allah, I Make A Humble Supplication

O Allah, I make a humble supplication.
Drive away misfortune from me.
Indeed, Allah rescues those who are
burdened with worry.

O Allah, O Ever-Existing,
A priori to all existence,
O Creator,
Who commands, 'Be, ' and it becomes,
The Everlasting, the Eternal You are—
Even when all creation fades away.

Glory be to Allah, and praise be to Him.
I seek refuge in Allah
And beseech Him for His boundless blessings.

I reflect on the merits of all that is—
Glorious and magnificent—
To know that there is no god but Allah,
And no power nor strength except in Allah.
All things shrink in the presence of Allah.
I seek from Allah sufficiency—
The Mighty, the Glorious.

O Allah,
If my sins have darkened my face,
I turn to You, abandoning all false gods.
Allah suffices me,
There is no god but You.
In You I place my trust,
You are the Lord of the Great Throne.
I entrust all my affairs to Allah,
For Allah watches over His servants.

I recite the supplication of Jonah:
'There is no god but You.
Glory be to You.
Indeed, I was among the unjust.'
And You responded to him,
Delivering him from his distress.

O Allah, grant us well-being
From wherever You desire,
As You wish, and when You will.
Verily, You do as pleases You,
For it is what satisfies You.
