O Eternal Night, Take Me In Your Arms... Poem by Gencay

O Eternal Night, Take Me In Your Arms...

They are going... They are going...
And we can't do anything
We're just looking, just and dull
If you knew how it touches me...

Give me a cigarette, let's drink
Let's drink long, drink...
After all, smoking
Healthier than this world...

I'm a train station
I am a big port
I'm in hangar of planes
I only have those who go...

Garda, I'm a colony just standing
I'm a chain buried in concrete in the harbor
The planes leaving the hangars
I am the golden track...

They leave without seeing me
They break the chain attached to me
Airplane full of people chewing on me
They crush me, crush me...

Give me a cigarette, let's drink
Let's drink long, drink...
After all, smoking
Healthier than this world...

They go so far
It's like I'm a city they hate...
But I'm not like that, they know
As if I'm just the reason to go...

I'm the innocent person they'll crack
I'm an excuse they're looking for
I have no sin, they know
But they go anyway...

I'm left alone, damn it!
You know what to stay alone!
To stay alone is to stay never
They went, I never stayed...

Give me a cigarette, let's drink...
Let's drink long, drink...
After all, smoking
Healthier than this world...

I have seas, moonlights
I have a sunrise, my sunset
I have mountains, I have a sky
But now none of it works...

My loved ones got on Noah's Ark
My memories, my memories are gone
Come and go, the land is gone
Now I only have trouble...

I want to bathe
Run myself out of the world like dirt
And I want to mix
Those who go to the river of space and flow...

Give me a cigarette, let's drink...
Let's drink long...
After all, smoking
Healthier than this world...

Look what the master said;

"O eternal night, take me in your arms..."
