O Lovely Lass. Poem by Michael Cochrane

O Lovely Lass.

O lovely lass with eyes of green, you hold my heart, like none I've seen. With every glance, and every smile, a sweeter girl with hair as dark as midnight. It gleams like stars on high. When you speak it flows from your lips so tenderly. So let me wander by your side amongst the heather wild and wide, through the mountains. Your laugh is like a summer breeze, that whispers through the trees. I will love you to the end of time, my lovely lass.
