O Oil Slick - Poem by S. J. Fulton

O oil slick, O oil slick,
You make a pretty rainbow.
O oil slick, O oil slick,
You give me such a pain, though.
Whenever tankers run aground,
And beaches all in sludge are drowned,
There’ll be no life for miles around
O oil slick, how I hate you!

O oil slick, O oil slick,
I wonder how you happen?
I oil slick, O oil slick?
Who on the fish is crappin’?
Who turns the water-fowl foul black?
Who pays off each political hack?
Some day we’ll give your kind the sack—
O oil men, we’ll defeat you!
