Today
You, the poets
Writers and thinkers
Of the contemporary
Times
All're as Today
The outcome
Of yesterday
The history
The experiences
Gathered through
The ages
By the efforts
Of one and all
The sum total
Twisted into truth
What you're today
Going to plunge
Into the ocean
Of tomorrow
In fact
That's unknown
Unlimited
And unfathomed
Unrealistic
Fanciful world
Of imagination
The endless journey
Of the future
With no ends of
Its start or finish.

You, the poets
Writers and thinkers
Of the contemporary
Times
The whole
Sea-churning
Of the past events
Ever since
Takes place
In the battle field
Of Today
Being the stage
Where the act
To be displayed
The past message
Of yesterday
To be transformed
After being ripped off
Edited and published
To look beautiful
And attractive
Pragmatic in tune
With time
After when salted
Roasted and toasted
With Today's whims
To be tasteful
Not disproportionate
With the tastes
And likings
Of the present day
Youngsters or
The next generation
As today's audience
For its Struggle less
Calm and cool
Acceptance
And followings
Of the same.

Behold-
On the stage
Of today
Legitimately
Everything
Whatever
Today inherited
From yesterday
Gets transferred
By way of will
To the future
With changes
Big or small
With feelings
Affectionate
Or bitter.

At a glance
The antique
Jumps
Into the new
Through you
As past
Into future
Through present
As yesterday
Into tomorrow
Through today
There being
Three characters
To play the role
In three stages
Inter Se empathize
The grand-parents
With parents
And the progeny.

You're the best
Observant
Subtle
And penetrating
The wise-mind
Of the planet
Your insight
Too deep
To be fathomed
You can't be defined
Yet intelligible
You're so cautious
And alert
As if you afraid
Of your neighbour
You're so polite
Quite and serious
As if you're a guest
In someone
Else's house
You're so elusive
As if the ice
That melts too
Your thoughts
May not have
Physical shape
Yet a deadly weapon
Devastating-
Like atom
May be at rest
Yet always active
With so sharp
A pen.

You're so content
And fulfilled
Without any
Fulfillment
Though
Growing old
Yet emerging
As energetic
Young souls
Competent
Enough
To take charge
Of restructuring
And reconstructing
The globe
Being
Self-sufficient
Under mandatory
Social obligation
Feel the pulse
Of this hour.
