Oblivion Poem by Tyler Chambers

Oblivion

Rating: 5.0

The aches are numberless.
The sores? They only multiply.
Evidence of disheartening now emerges through the lines in his face.
Discourse on the limits of reason; the foot of the mountain.
If only such an ascent was not necessary.
Now more than ever, regret coincides with realization.

And oh, how the tears do flow.

To be unblemished; infeasible.
But to stray when presented with favorable circumstances, is heartbreaking. To all parties.

The peak glares down at him with ferocious scrutiny, but the wind beckons with a soft chorus.
No pathway. No compass. One direction. Up.
One decision to be made and the choice is his.
To reach absolution or to fall like so many before him.

I like this poem and I like your style. My favourite line is To be unblemished; infeasible. That has a lot of meaning to me. But anyway, very good job.
