Observe And Learn Poem by Zainah Omair

Observe And Learn

On an ancient oak,
sits a mother with her child
whispering gold lessons, timeless and wild

her voice hoarse and soft as the night sky
'Listen well dear',
she breathes with a sigh

'silence is wisdom,
your steadfast friend,
present when all other voices end

silence speaks volumes to wandering fools
who mask their faces with hollow rules

observe, and miracles will unfold
speak less, see more, let wisdom take hold

on this old oak watch and learn,
how faces hide truths and secrets churn'
