Obsess Not Poem by Saurabh Saxena

Obsess Not

In deep meditation, I hear a whisper
From the Lord of my heart,
Obsess not, over lost mortal love
The cosmos loves you in its entirety.
Obsess not, over the role you play.
Great actors like you have played so many
Obsess not, over your inevitable death
Seeds fall only to rejuvenate the tree.
Obsess not, over being too organized,
From chaos came the cosmic creativity.
Obsess not, over being different
You are eternally unique.
Obsess not, over making a difference,
The absolute cannot be differentiated
Obsess not, over your finite body,
Your body is the infinite universe
Obsess not, over your possessions,
They are mere waves of My Cosmic sea.
Obsess not, over intellectual gymnastics
Your intuition is My infinite wisdom.

Leading, guiding, teaching
Secretly in the soul temples of all
I flow like a silent invisible river
Connecting all that exists
with a single cord of rhythm and joy.

Tread any path your heart desires,
Eventually all of them lead to Me.
But if you want to take the shortest path
And obsess if you have to over something,
Then Obsess only over Me,
and realize the Cosmic Consciousness that you yourself are!
Tat tvam asi.
