Obsessive Thoughts Poem by Jo Anna Griffiths

Obsessive Thoughts

Thoughts shower down like acid rain
burning my heart and eating my brain.

Unbidden, unwanted, they invade my mind
and I cannot escape their repetitive bind.

Over and over they beat on my heart
never giving up until it breaks apart.

I beg of it to please just go away
but it smiles wickedly and vows to stay.
