Occupiers Of Emancipation Poem by Kevin Patrick

Occupiers Of Emancipation

Rating: 5.0

Its an amputating
knee-jerk resolution
starving off sanity
for moral indignation

now gears are moving.
fresh for a sweet ravine
positioned momentum
fuels insidious philistines

Hardliners are drawn
fascists insignias
Crooked scales weigh
platonic dystopias

The writing on the wall
is written by cowards
Faceless gutless trolls
Impotent with subpar powers

We once had legs for the
High ground to reach,
Now millions race to the bottom.
Ignorance they preach

Do we embrace the right?
Knowing that it's wrong
Should we not tear down walls?
To prove we are stronger

It's all now a monopoly
of dog eat dog mentality
we fight or we're enslaved
or accept this finality

Don't pander to masses
encased in race crutches
if the whole is undone
we face our lasts destruction

Starving off sanity for moral indignation....That is what we seem to do. Were the ancient Greeks right when they warned that thanatos was one of the most powerful forces in society? You have me thinking, and at the same time devouring the rap/beat of this amazing poem. A truly great work.
