Ocean Poem by bonnie brown

Ocean

I often think of the ocean
It's where I find the most peace
Listening to waves crashing up against the shore
Smelling the pungent yet addictive salt air

I'm totally in love with that magical place
walking along barefoot sand squishing between your toes
Watching the seagulls swooping down towards the water
Laughing at their awkward dance together

I've seen both Atlantic and Pacific Oceans
They're both so very different yet the same
By far the Atlantic Ocean is home for me

I loved sitting in the sand
Gazing out at the boats sailing by
Wondering how great it would be
To be on that boat instead of on the sand

I'll think of you sailing out there
Relaxed smiling broadly
Feeling free with no cares in the world
May the ocean give you the peace and happiness you deserve
