Ocean Of Tears Poem by Pishi Shiraz

Ocean Of Tears

They didn't really leave
They just drifted away
Over my ocean of tears
I hold out my hand
The ocean grows
One last wave
And then it devours me
They float away
Closing their eyes
I scream for help
But I'm drowning
And the water swallows me whole
And I sink
Down...
Down...
Down...
Until I don't even remember them.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I don't know much about genres, it's a free verse, but I chose the genre based on feeling. In the end, it's either an elegy or a free verse
