October 18,2016 Poem by Raymond Farrell

October 18,2016

Today
The afternoon
Has become dreary and overcast
And rain has begun to fall
A steady copious drizzle
Laying on my bed
Through my open window
I hear flute music
Rising up from the floor below
I feel a weariness
Perhaps from the low pressure
Of having stayed up too late
But my mind is soothed
By the pleasant
Melody I hear.
