October Poem by Saucy Elmo

October

Summer ended and it tasted so sweet.
With little memories that were to keep.
From the sun came two fragile souls,
That didn't know wrong from right.

Fall rolled in and their love bloomed.
Hearts racing fast when they entered the room.
From October light came something,
Meant to last longer than a months' night

He was too afraid to fly.
She ran across the sky.
They fell in love, the boy and the girl.
Together they were on top of the world.

Winter came and it brought in the cold.
The boy left, and broken was the girl.
From what was left she grew a piece of mind,
That he'd come back after how much she cried.

Spring flew by and the girl lost hope.
She knew she lost what she loved most.
From the fire there was nothing but ashes,
And she wondered if he even cared to try.

He was too afraid to dream,
and too scared of what he said.
She knew if he really loved her,
He never would have left.

She was too afraid to tell him,
That she was scared too.
He knew that he had to take back,
Every time he said 'I love you'

He was too afraid to fly.
She ran across the sky.
They fall apart, the boy and the girl.
They had to face the world alone.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is inspired by a very important person in my life. He knows who he is. I hope one day I'll be strong enough to be able to show him everything I've ever written for him. But for now, that's a decision for the future.
