October~november Song Poem by Joyce Hemsley

October~november Song

Caring for the Birds:

Birdwatchers' Paradise
A daylight serenade.
Captivating plumage
Invades the promenade.

Flying above the grandstand
Nothing can compare
Breadcrumbs for nourishment
So lamentable not to care!

Hopefully with insight
Telescope at hand,
We'll ransack all horizons
For birds of the motherland.

Such a heavenly feeling
Captured this heart of mine
As nature's grand warbler
Perched on the vine.

And the sight of my bird table
Brought passerines this way
To enjoy seeds and clear water
In the sunshine of each day.
