Ode To A Dream Poem by Lewis Dowell, III

Ode To A Dream

Oh I, oh I, says I, says I
Prithee listless or noisy neighbor
Oh I, oh I, winter days unfathomable
To a momentous drain on the brain
As if melted liquid silver bells
Befell a tidal wave
Swooshing past the bray-

Oh I, oh I, says I
Monsoon noons
That come and go too soon
Like some intangible unimaginable dream
Rebounded from my happy themes of yore,
Though explored, oh I, oh I wander still in my dreams
Wondering if the seen unseen
Is the revelation of a dream beyond my dreams.
