Ode To Honey Bee Poem by Kishor Sharma

Ode To Honey Bee

Blossoms of rose had filled the garden,
Having touched none, ever, the Bee was aghast,
As the winter was approaching fast.
Resolutely he entered the garden without looking back,
Allured by the rose, he was a bit frightened,
To fetch nectar from the most beautiful rose, and an
Idyllic rose took him aback

In that defining moment he started singing-
'Meeting you was a blessing,
Only I know how much I mean it,
None can reveal how much I feel it,
And a feeling of love now lingers through my heart'.

Mesmerizing beauty of nature was at its best,
Instead, nectar was what he was here to fetch.
Scents from crisping petals of rose entered his nose,
Soothing his solitude soul.

Yearning hard for the courage to hug the rose,
Once they hugged, he kissed her passionately,
Until he realized, his mouth was of full of nectar.

But honey bees are after all seasoned in infidelity,
Under no circumstances he would reveal his identity.
Tearing apart the delicate petals of the beautiful roses,
In his endeavor of collecting lots of nectars in doses.
To that beautiful rose he appeared to be an angel,
Whereas his true self was that of a finagle.
As he was regaling on the nectars,
Without nurturing true feelings for that rose.

At the end when his identity got finally revealed,
Number of roses had been left with scar to be healed.
He could never nurture love,
As he could not see the red rose (the symbol of love) .
Nature had slapped his folk with a curse,
It was to be born as a colour blind for red.
This revelation now made me realized,
Why he was scared of being attached.
This was the tragedy of his life.

Years after year he would produce honey in her beehive,
To be finally snatched away by the men who are not kind.
Hovering around throughout the day,
As he collect nectar every day.
No one feels sorry for their fate,
Knowing not this, everyone decides to hate.
Surely, they deserve sympathy from the mankind.
Fear of losing him had made the rose worried,
Only the bond of attachment left her aggrieved,
Really she was getting very much stressed,
When they parted, her dreams were shattered.

The course of their relationship was decided by nature,
Hence she decided to respect it,
As she felt, they were all mere creature.
Ever since the day they got separated,
She felt as if her love had departed.
Rarely a day passed now without getting his thought,
It's uncertain if her efforts to reconcile are for naught.
Exchanging vow, she wanted to become his bride,
Not knowing for sure if she will have that pride.
Day and night she would refrain, from
Seeking his friendship to regain,
Here she made her resolution.
If they are destined to be soul mate again,
Patience will be the key for its resurrection.

Mainly the bee comes to fulfill his own need,
Into the garden, as he touched down onto the flower.
Since it brings pollen grains on its back after a shower,
The rose is able to set the seed.

Sitting on the rose, soon after the sunrise,
As the honey bee decides to kiss,
Merely aware of, how long the rose will bliss.
Journey was fruitful as no constrain did arise.
Every day he would collect nectars from many roses,
To put them into their beehive,
So that the new progeny do survive,
And to produce the sweetest honey,
Before the men comes hunting for money.
Amidst this anguish, the honey bee was helping the rose with its pollination,
Meanwhile the nectar was allaying the pain in his heart through hallucination.
