Oh, Spring, come you please!
To relieve us of the incessant freeze
To bring us light,
During the darkest time of year,
To bring us the vivid flowers,
That melts away the pallid gloom,
For when that comes,
God’s creatures sing in a joyous refrain,
And all of life’s joy returns again.
