While your red mate
Steals the rosy show,
Dancing in its glory
Of evoking love
In barren hearts,
Fusing its colour
In lives around,
You, Wild Blue Rose,
Drifted and chose
A life so vice versa
Sucking the poison,
Drinking the venom
From the lives around;
Suffering in silence,
Standing in solitude,
Shrouded in mystery,
An unsung hero,
Ousted long ago
With undying sorrow,
Wounded blue by love's arrow,
On whose cheek glows
Tears as the night dew flows,
The Blue Rose wildly grows.
