The world is full of things
I cannot name-
trees, birdsongs
phases of the moon
You're not one of those things
but an inspirer of nouns
verbs & adjectives
similes & metaphors
bright like a traffic light
signaling me to proceed
into your infinite depths
You're science & mathematics
politics & poetics
the gems in your eyes
seas in your words
You're poetry that rhymes
without knowing it does
