Of Parvin Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Of Parvin

Of Parvin

Willingly choose corner,
Sit silent, calm, idle,
Hear tongues of people,
Feel something in blood,
Runs, climbs to my heart:
"Cherish your gift of luck,
You were born in Iran,
Zoroaster's Birthplace,
And the land of wonders."

Enjoy reading poems,
Best of them in Persian.

Smile with proverbs
Scattered in poems.

Two best known in Europe
Are Khayyam and Rumi.

These blinking stars
With lot of satellites
Fill the endless sky,
Poetry in Iran.

The Persian poetry
Has many galaxies.

One of them is Parvin,
My mentor, poetic…

Her poems can be read:
"Difficult and simple! "

Kitchen is her workshop,
And her tools, pan or pot,
They speak and advise:
"Cut stone, use your mind."

My school, as a child
Had name of Etesam,
After her, feel proud.
