Of The Person Poem by Francis Duggan

Of The Person

It is not the size of your home or the size of your car
That tells me of the person that you really are
Since many who are materially successful in their ways are small
And their idea of a fair go does not include all
The Human World is mostly about things material and money in the bank
And those lacking in these things are low in social rank
Those who have to work hard for award wages pay
Will never be considered the man or woman of the day
Your material assets tells one little of you
It is not how much money you have but with what your money you do
If you are unwilling to help one of your help in need
Then for your future good karma you are not planting the seed
And it is not your big home or the size of your car
That tells us anything of the person you are.
