Of This I Dream Poem by Sara Militello

Of This I Dream

Of This I Dream

That each passing day would find me
nestled in the supine comfort
of loving arms accepting and free
of creature guile and apathy.

Our loving natures would partake
of Venus tolerance and hope
emboldened by the breadth
of her permissive scope.

We'd awaken to fires of passion
that an uncertain kiss could ignite
even in snow covered glens
that not a sigh nor a kiss be lost,

not a whisper nor a knowing from souls
entwined in wordless comfort.
I'd forever thank the Gods above
if In this life I'd be granted this dream
I've dreamed that I could say
to the world in my own words any day,

'I've known the gentle winds of dawn
that blow loving round slumbering heads
when each new day of soft serenity showed
the mortal world as nought! '

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
When I was about 18, I sensed that I knew nothing about loving. So I prayed that I would someday have that capacity. People around me seemed to have the capacity to love more than I could. I am happy to say, almost everything I ever prayed for came true for me, eventually.

Now, even knowing the pain, the uncertainty, the sheer fear of surrender to a loving nature, I thank God often for granting me this capacity. Loving is worth everything one endures for it.

And your prayers got its acceptance. You are really fortunate to find the true love in this world else trillions and trillions are struggling to find it - Love is a mirage the more you strive the more it gets elusive....Excellent poem, Sara 10++++
