Office Be Open. Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Office Be Open.

But the Office be open.

And there be no staff.

Desolation with stark solitude
Grins

I be Pretender is I.

They said ‘You be Pretender'

I said ‘I be proud as any.
But first I be cosmopolitan'

In the corner hiding
The Wise Bird sat still, still, still.
