Oh Cleopatra! Poem by Md. Ziaul Haque

Oh Cleopatra!

Rating: 5.0

Oh Cleopatra!
Why did you seduce Antony,
With your unrivaled beauty?
Sandwiched he was between duty and love!

On the horns of a dilemma Antony was in,
The combat was significant to him,
So was your company!
The war made him tired, you made him vigorous!

Yet the conclusion was distressing so,
Antony kissed death like heroin finally!

Very nicely depicted. The beginning and the end of that historic love affair. Thanks.
