Oh Doctor! Poem by Dr. Sada Bihari Sahu

Oh Doctor!

Rating: 5.0

The living God on this earth
Having Stethoscope one hand and ready treat the wounded
The sufferer, the rich and poor
Weeping out the tears and pain from the needy
Who come to his rescue for dreaded disease they bear
They feel, can be cured with a single touch
If the Doctor put his hand over

A poor fellow full of wound
Blood moving throughout his body with full of worms
Crying for help and to relieve his pain
Left on the main road no one to care
All are busy
The so called modern man moving here and there
No body to care
Even to touch and take him to hospital

A young doctor passing on the way
Stopped there for while
By seeing the man's cry
Took him to the medical where he can be cured
Starts treatment with tender loving care
Within few days the man start to walk
Blessed the doctor with folded hand
Coming directly from the heart with smiling face
"You are the living God" what he could uttered with little voice
Salute you Doctor
For your loving touch and care
Service to mankind is service to God
The message you share

Oh Doctor!

We all are indebted to doctors for their service to mankind. We all have been treated by doctors for ailments, small or big at some point of time.A doctor's profession is the noblest job and many doctors pursue their profession with a service attitude to mankind.God heals through the hands of doctors. This poem is a great tribute to all doctors and their noble profession.

Yes Madam. We are always indebted to doctors for their service. I also personally believe that it is noblest profession. Apart from this profession, I also like the teaching profession. Thanks Madam for your kind words on this poem.
