Oh How The Heart Longs Poem by Zoe Russell

Oh How The Heart Longs

Rating: 4.0

My Love,
Oh how I long for you.
I long for your touch,
though it has never graced my skin.
I long for your kiss,
though I have never touched your lips.
I long to see your face,
though my eyes have never gazed upon it.
I have searched for you,
across oceans of time,
and through lands of days.
I have withstood
snow of seconds,
rain of minutes,
and sunshine of hours,
yet still I cannot find you.
Where do you hide between the years?
What second
What minute
What hour
Which day
will I be able to find you?
When will my heart start to beat?
For it will only start to beat at your gaze.
Find me, My Love,
so that this longing may cease.
Until then,
I am forever yours,
Your Love

Too love secretly from afar or trusting there is someome for everyone? Could be taken either way. I really like this a lot. Thanks for sharing. Keep writing!
