Oh My Fanny Brawne Poem by Ron Shah

Oh My Fanny Brawne

As days pass by and I wait for my death
I am still waiting for you with bated breath
Feel my pain, listen to my heart beats
O my Fanny Brawne, let me be your John Keats

The day you left me alone i can't forget
Why i loved you so, i still regret
I pray to God we again shall meet
O my Fanny Brawne, let me be your John Keats

If at all you think, If at all you care
Even if it's a game for you, lets play it fair
I've got the questions, you've got the answer sheet
O my Fanny Brawne, let me be your John Keats

I've suffered a lot, held a lot inside
I've no space left for more grief to hide
today let me be myself and remove the mask
I've got complaints and questions to ask

Tell me why my love, did you leave me alone
Tell me since when did your heart turn to stone
Tell me the reason why you never replied
To my painful screams, when my heart cried
Tell me what did'nt i do to make you understand
How my feelings were for you, how beautiful and grand
Tell me what was my fault if i fell in love
How do you kill feelings? just tell me how
When you left you said forget everything, forget me
Tell me is it possible to forget to breathe?
Yes its that hard, impossible even in my dreams
I always wonder, why you could never see
What we were alone and what together we could be

You're not unaware, it's not as if i never tried
Writing those letters, buckets i have cried
I have begged for my love, even touched your feet
O my Fanny Brawne, let me be your John Keats

I pretend to be happy, but no I'm sad
I pretend it's all good, but it's really bad
I've lost all battles, and you're the reason for all defeats
O my Fanny Brawne, let me be your John Keats
