Oh Not Again

I have chased the wind,
Must I now race against Time
And go beyond its reach!
Somebody tell me
Would I become immortal then,
Would I have conquered death?
I also thought
If I overcame death
What would I gain?
Life without death
Does not ensure endless happiness,
It does not eliminate pain.
