i have always prayed
for your happiness, and
i have given you some
wings, not claws.
happiness is such a
huge cake, you can have
it all, but, have mercy,
spare me a slice of it.
if only love, i have
told you once, if only
love can have a logical
formula, whom to love,
i could have grabbed
that book and studied it
for the rest of the days
of my life.
there is no such formula
however, no book, and so
the heart dances in the
evening and in the day,
rejoicing about the
triumph of stupidity.
and since then, stupidity
had become the star of the
show, where lovers watch and
dance, and drunk and keep
on hurting one another.
except of course, for those
who found what tenderly is
mutually theirs. And so,
believe we may not, they
live happily ever after.
and you while reading this,
puts your tongue in cheek,
and laughs, ironically
saying, "oh really? "
