Oh These Poets And Their Sounds Poem by Shalom Freedman

Oh These Poets And Their Sounds

OH THESE POETS AND THEIR SOUNDS

Oh these poets and their sounds
Their distant rhythms
Which take your soul away-

Oh these poets and their sounds
And the longing to be
One of them-

Oh this poet
And all his cry of loneliness-

Oh these poets and their sounds,
And he in his own small voice
Crying out lonely words
Before his own lonely page.
