Okine Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Okine

What is my crime and what is my sin that,
You 've hunted me like a thief? !
But the drought consumed me by day and,
The frost consumed me by the night;
For Yahweh has seen my affliction and labour of love.

'Yegar Sahadutta! '
The 'Heap of witness of Witness' came;
For i don't know what i have done to Okine.
I am torn by the wild beasts of his traps and,
I still don't know why he is against me;
but, i will be buried in my full old age no matter what!
