Oklahoma Garden Festival Poem by Marilyn Lott

This time of year is so exciting
Because spring opens up the doors
For the Oklahoma Garden Festival
What will be this year’s décor?

So many exciting flowers to observe
The colors are a rainbow for us
We gather ‘round as we observe them
There are so many things to discuss

Not only flowers are present
But an array of earthy-type things
Rocks for instance you will see
Amazing displays this festival brings

Flowers that burst forth in color
Brilliant they are to the eye
Beautiful sweet pink roses
So pretty they almost make you cry

Some flowers you have never seen before
Because they are a new kind of breed
And to think they started from nothing
Just from a tiny little ‘ole seed

But the aromatic smell that is wafting
Throughout the entire festival
Just really makes me smile I’m so happy
For I love their fragrance best of all!
