Old Cemeteries - Poem by Lance Carthen
Did you ever walk by the old cemetery,
on a cold and raining night?
Did you ever get the feeling that you werent alone
did this thought fill you with fright?
When you went to your house that night did
you feel like someone followed you home?
Were you too scared to look behind you scared
you might see a ghosts shadow?
When you went to sleep that night did demons
fill your head?
Feeding you unrealistic hallucinations of pictures
of the dead?
Did you wake up screaming and sweating hard with no
one in the room?
Did your momma ask what all the noise was?
Did you tell her you dont know?
Did you ever walk by the old cemetery on a cold
and rainy night?
Did you see corpses rise from the grave engaging you
with might?
Did you wake up fast and realize that it was all just
a dream.
Then look out your window and see the face of death then
your mom hears that scream....
