RIC S. BASTASA

Old Man Baring - Poem by RIC S. BASTASA

woe
to you
old man baring
even if you run for
barangay captain
you cannot win
this new game
that you have just
created

woe to you
i had your lies
all your nice pretenses
now old man baring
your life is over

welcome now
to your gold plated room
in hell

you see i told you
i told you beforehand
my dear old man Baring
no one lasts forever

join us now
in the world of oblivion
if you must
with your permission
we give you
the number one slot
in this world
of the unknown
