Old News Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Old News

Had I known of your involvement with someone else
Would I have never giving you the time
Instead I'd indanger myself
Leaving me open to hurt still, I was blind
When your lips touched mine for the first time I was in love
And I found myself having this unusual affair
But it ended shortly, I didn't know how to handle that
Than you begun dating friends of mine,
I'd soon get jealous
And would envy what I once had and now miss badly
And wish that somehow you'd return back to my arms
You've never gave me the chance to say goodbye
Instead you've ended us without explaination
which led to my heartbreak and pain
But than realized, you were no good from the beginning
You moved through me, those after and before me like water
I begun to notice the decrease in your appearance
And wondered what I seen in you that I desired
And I'd soon fall out of the spell which came over me
Now, you can forget about ever being involved with me
I don't need you not anymore for you became old news
