Old Or New, It's Love Poem by Kimberly Hope

Old Or New, It's Love

I've been thriving for ones love so bad.
You're the only one who will give it to me,
for this reason I have begun to take advantage of you.
He no longer shows me any love,
no longer does he talk to me,
yet he is always watching me ever so closely.
I'm afraid that I have used you this entire time,
forced myself to love you,
so that I may be loved in return.
To be shown a love like no other, is all I've wanted.
In a way I do believe that I love you,
simple by the actions I have taken, and my thoughts of concern.
Deep down in my soul I know,
I will always love him more,
love him more than anyone or anything else.
I've been trying so long, so hard, just to move on,
I was loving you,
secretly using you to help me move on.
Your love has began to fail for me though,
and so I have been brought back to reality, my past;
back to whom I once truly loved.
Even though I will never be able to show him my love again,
I keep on trying, remembering.
And because I can not have him,
I shall force myself to love you now,
to love you so deeply, so unconditionally,
until he is forgotten,
my love is true; and then,
then we shall be forever in love,
my love.
